Program Awards Information

We believe all children should be able to choose and play the sport they like in order to realize their full potential.
We understand the challenges that many children and communities face due to the increasing cost of youth sports. Because of this many children miss the opportunity to transform their lives through discipline, teamwork, and a sense of community.

This is why Paranto Athletics provides two distinct program awards, the first is Play Your Way for families with children ages 4 to 18.  The second is Gear Up for Play for organizations facing budget constraints. 

The Play Your Way award covers registration, equipment, fees, and more for sports-related expenses. 

The Gear Up for Play award covers specific expenses that organizations cannot afford due to budget constraints. These items can include equipment, uniforms, and maintenance of facilities. 

Please remember the following information: Awards are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis as long as funds are available. The availability of awards is dependent on the financial support from generous donors and sponsors who believe in supporting youth sports. Funding for the program is limited and will vary from year to year and by season.

Exceptions to eligibility guidelines may be made by Paranto Athletics for reasonable extenuating circumstances.

We generally require award applications to be submitted at least 30 days before the sports program registration deadline. In the case of extenuating circumstances, we will make every effort to review your award application on short notice. 
Yes, please submit a separate application for each child you are requesting an award for. 
For Paranto Athletics to assess family eligibility, we will need the following:
  • Completed Application, the person completing the application must be the legal guardian/parent of the child
  • Proof of registration cost from the organization
  • If items have already been purchased, we will need an itemized receipt to determine if you qualify for reimbursement
  • If there are additional expenses that may not be listed on the registration form, include those under the additional expenses in the application. We may contact you directly to ask for additional information

  • A family may apply up to 4 times per year for each child
  • A family can generally only apply for the Play Your Way award for one sport at a time per child. However, Paranto Athletics reserves the right to evaluate overlapping grant applications and approve at its discretion, considering many sports seasons have at least some overlap.
We understand that managing the budget of a sports organization can be quite challenging. Throughout the year, there are numerous expenses to account for, such as the costs of uniforms, equipment, facility rentals, league registration, facility maintenance, and more. 

For Paranto Athletics to assess league eligibility, a comprehensive financial statement, such as a profit and loss sheet or an annual financial statement, will be necessary. Any financial information received will remain confidential. 

After you've finished the application, a member of the Paranto Athletics team will review your initial information and might reach out to you if we need any more details.

If your family or organization does not qualify, or if we are unable to fund your award at the moment, a member of Paranto Athletics will get in touch with you to inform you of the decision. If you don't hear back from us within 30 days, please feel free to follow up on your application within 30 days of submission.

Play Your Way: If you are eligible for the award, our team will arrange for payment directly to the organization, and any sports equipment will be purchased and shipped directly to you or we may provide reimbursement options. There may be times when we receive a high number of award applications. 

Gear Up for Play:  If you are eligible for the award, our team will arrange a meeting to determine how best to fulfill the requested need. There may be times when we receive a high number of award applications.
